Alexa & Jet's Wedding
7/12/2008

Last month my own daughter Alexa was married on July 11, 2008 and yes we did the catering. Jet (my son-in-law) is from Albania. Jet and Alexa met at BYU in Provo, UT and they are up there now going to school. Just days after they got married they went to Albania to meet Jet's parents and to have a wedding reception there. They stayed for 3 weeks. Their wedding here was fabulous, fun and of course delicious. KP Events Decor (Kristine and Joe Peart) decorated. Their colors were green and white, with a splash of orange and eggplant. It was an Italian Piazza theme! We had umbrellas, a draped ceiling, bamboo centerpieces, chinese laterns, and hanging star lights. The funnest part of the wedding was the DJ (All Events DJ, Gabriel Ortiz) he even a brought a PHOTO BOOTH, which was a big hit. Everyone enjoyed taking their own pictures (one that they got to keep) and putting them in a book for Alexa and Jet with their personal messages. Alexa's flowers were done by Kerri Fliescher, and they were absolutely gorgeous! The cake was created by Alana Winder (it was so yummy) and one of the fillings had mandarin oranges in it. It was so beautiful.
The food was catered by our Catering Unlimited chef and staff. Everyone enjoyed chicken and beef kabobs, vegetarian and meat pita pizza slices, Italian pasta salad, Greek salad, veggies with dips and hummus, cheeses, raspberry chipotle meatballs (everybody's favorite) along with our hot artichoke spinach dip, dessert crepes, cucumber mint lemonade and mango lemonade. We also served Jet's favorite drink, a Brazilian drink called "Guarana", and Alexa's Favorite, Lime frappe.

It was all yummy:) Everyone left full and happy.

I will post the photos by Jeanna Hayes she is an up and coming photographer who does fabulous work. You can visit her website at www.jeannahayes.com. Alexa knew she wanted her as their photographer as soon as she saw her work. I even catered Jeanna & Jerry's Wedding about 6 years ago. Jerry is our biggest fan of the Raspberry Chipotle Meatballs. He will go anywhere to eat them. Jeanna has been helping me out with this blog among other things. She is awesome:)

Thanks Jeanna.
